A Zen garden is a shallow pit
that contains sand or gravel. Zen gardens also contain rocks and on
occasion may have grass or other natural items. There are different
types of Zen gardens, but the most commonly known type is called
karesansui. The known father of the Zen gardens, muso soseki was a
Zen priest. Zen gardens decrease the levels of your stress –
creating a healthier way of living. Zen gardens were originally
called Japanese rock gardens until 1935; a writer named Loraine
called them Zen gardens in her book ‘100 gardens of Kyoto’. In
conclusion Zen gardens have been a healthy way of living since the
